Short Bio
Francesco Schiavone is Full Professor in management at the University Parthenope, Naples, Italy. He received a Ph.D. degree in network economics and knowledge management from the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Italy). His main research areas are technology management, strategic innovation, communities of practice, and healthcare management and innovation. Prof. Schiavone is the scientific director of VIMASS, the research lab in healthcare management and innovation, established at University Parthenope.

Abstract
This talk will explore some of the main challenges and dilemmas in healthcare innovation (e.g. rapidity vs. efficacy in new drugs development, the tension between market size and the right of care for everyone, and so on…) and will offer a framework for supporting the decision-making about these critical aspects.
